Catalog Description:

C.1886, Seth Thomas Clock Co., "Atlanta", 8-daytime/strike city series mantel clock, with restorations. Condition: walnut veneered case in very good condition with original finish and gilt decoration. There is a small dent on the door, not too noticeable. Paper dial has been replaced. Deeper inspection is required to reveal that this Seth Thomas movement and pendulum set up from a Bangor or Buffalo (which use a different pendulum), and then the case back covered with red flocked material to disguise the change. Would he $400 if correct. Height 19.5 inches [49.5 cm]
